Introducing Our New Teachers

Janice Ocampo

My name is Janice Ocampo, I am married with 3 children. I've worked in education for 8 years and I have a Master of Arts in Education-Mathematics, Certification in Professional Education, and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. I have worked as an Internal bank auditor in the Philippines for 15 years and have been a Mathematics teacher in grades 4-12, where I've taught general math, and probability and statistics.

Jhazel "Zel" Sarmiento

I’m Jhazel Mae R. Sarmiento or you can call me “Ms. Zel”, and I’m a passionate educator with a strong commitment to shaping young minds. I was born on January 8, 1996 and am currently 28 years old. I earned my Bachelor of Elementary Education with a major in General Education in 2016 from the University of Northern Philippines. Continuing my journey in education, I completed my Master of Arts in Education with a focus on Educational Management in 2022, also at the University of Northern Philippines.

I have five years of experience as a Kindergarten Teacher at Camanggaan Elementary School in San Juan, Ilocos Sur, Philippines where I’ve had the joy of guiding my students from June 2018 to March 2024. I strive to create a nurturing and engaging classroom environment that encourages creativity and learning.

Outside of teaching, I have a variety of hobbies that keep me inspired. I love traveling, diving into a good book, watching movies, and experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen. These interests not only enrich my life but also inspire me to bring new ideas and experiences to my classroom.

Amanda Miller

My name is Amanda Miller. I am married with 2 sons, ages 17 and 16. I have been with the Hardin School District for approximately 14 years. I started in education as a paraprofessional working at Fort Smith Elementary while I attended Grand Canyon University to receive my bachelor's degree in elementary education. From there I started working at Hardin Middle School teaching English. While I loved teaching English I've really missed the littles and being able to have a more creative side to my teaching, so this year I am currently teaching 2nd grade at Hardin Primary School. I am also excited to graduate with my master's degree in Educational Administration from Grand Canyon University in May 2025.
