Student Services

The Hardin School District is dedicated to ensuring that all students, including those with disabilities, have access to a free and appropriate public education (FAPE). We offer a range of services to meet the needs of students with disabilities through both special education programs and Section 504 accommodations.

Special Education Services
We provide specialized support for students with disabilities through Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). These programs are tailored to each student's unique needs and may include services such as speech and language therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy, and specialized academic instruction. Our goal is to ensure that students are integrated into the least restrictive environment and have access to the resources and support needed to succeed academically and socially.

Section 504 Services
Under Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, the Hardin School District also provides accommodations and modifications for students with disabilities who may not require special education but still need support to access the general education curriculum. Section 504 ensures that students with physical or mental impairments are provided with equal educational opportunities. The district works collaboratively with families and staff to create 504 plans that outline the accommodations and services necessary for each student’s success.

Both special education services and 504 accommodations are designed to ensure that all students have the support they need to thrive in the academic environment. If you have any questions or concerns about the services available to your child, please contact the Student Services Office.
