This year’s Indigenous Peoples Day holds special significance, as the state of Montana, home to 12 tribal nations and 7 reservations, has officially recognized this day following the passage of state legislation in May.
To honor and celebrate Indigenous cultures, we invite students, staff, and community members to wear beadwork, ribbon attire, or other traditional items that reflect Indigenous heritage on Monday, October 13, 2025.

Dual Language Immersion in the Classroom
This year marks the 10th year of Dual Language Immersion at Crow Agency Public School, an incredible milestone in our ongoing commitment to language revitalization, cultural preservation, and student success. We’re also excited to announce that this year, our program is expanding to Hardin Primary School with a new classroom!
We are incredibly proud of our Apsáalooke (Crow) language team who presented back-to-back workshops at the NIEA 2025 Conference!
Please join us in recognizing:
Lavonna Little Owl-Real Bird
Nicole Real Bird
Gwendale Goodluck
These dedicated educators shared their impactful work in Dual Language Immersion classrooms, demonstrating how Conversational Crow, student empowerment, and culturally grounded strategies are helping to revitalize the Apsáalooke (Crow) language and uplift future generations.
Thank you for representing our school district with such dedication and excellence! Ahóoh
