A Heartfelt Thank You
Last night’s event was a success, and it wouldn’t have been possible without the incredible efforts of several remarkable individuals.
Firstly, a big shoutout to Darin Old Coyote, our Master of Ceremonies. Your energy and charisma kept the evening flowing smoothly and made it unforgettable.
A huge thank you to Joire Chavez and the Indian Club for their planning and dedication behind the scenes. We also want to acknowledge and thank our wonderful staff and volunteers, Tina Pretty On Top, Mary Iron, Lana Stands, Autumn Whiteman, Sunny Gardner and Verleen Holds The Enemy who played a crucial role in recruiting, judging and supporting the event.
A special thank you to our former royalty for gracing us with your presence. We are honored to have had you with us.
We’re also blessed by the wonderful performances of our talented singers. A special mention must go to Night Hawk Jrz Drum Group, whose voices have touched our hearts and added such joy to our evening.
Lastly, we honor and remember Austin Little Light, who was a cherished part of our events. His incredible voice and spirit continue to inspire us, and his legacy lives on in the music we love.

In 1997 and 2009, the Montana Legislature enacted MCA 20-1-306, designating the last two Fridays of September as American Indian Heritage Days. These days serve as a time to honor and celebrate the rich culture and heritage of Montana Tribes. To commemorate this, we will be hosting an All District Powwow on September 20, 2024, from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Water will be distributed to all students on the football field, followed by a community feed. This Friday Hardin Schools will be host to the African-infused musical artist Alex Boyé. Alex has appeared on America's Got Talent, Monday Night Football and been streamed on YouTube over one billion times.
Alex will share his "You Are a 10!" message with Hardin students during the school day and perform a concert, sponsored by the Crow Tribal Health Department, open to the community that evening.
"You Are a 10!" is an empowering event by singer Alex Boyé, dedicated to positive self-image, resilience, and mental health. Alex's soulful performance weaves throughout the event, enhancing the transformative experience. Attendees will explore self-discovery, hear empowering stories, and leave with tools to navigate life's challenges.
Alex Boyé is known for his dynamic African-infused music that has gained over 1 billion views on YouTube. After being named 2017 Artist of the Year and grand prize winner in a music contest sponsored by Pepsi & Hard Rock Cafe, he performed a half-time show for NFL's Monday Night Football this past December in Miami. Alex’s voice was featured in “Cruel Summer,” a short film by Kanye West that premiered at the Cannes Film festival. He has shared the stage with many notable artists including, Jay-Z, Tim McGraw, George Michael, Missy Elliott, Justin Timberlake, The Beach Boys, and opened for Olivia Newton John at the world-renowned Royal Albert Hall, fulfilling a life-time dream. Boyé, of Nigerian descent, was raised in London, became a U.S citizen on Feb 12th, 2012, and is an official ambassador for many causes, including the American Foundation of Suicide Prevention, and speaks across the country giving entertaining keynotes on mental wellness. His remarkable studio recordings, viral videos, film appearances, and solo performances led to his unforgettable first audition on NBC’s America’s Got Talent, where judge Howie Mandel stated, "In my six years here, this is my favorite music act ever—it really is!"

Order forms will be sent home after school tomorrow. Pictures can be ordered after they are taken. Please see the image below for the order code.
